Devotee or Saint
Vijaynagara – 14th Century – South India

A royal saint or devotee having flowing moustache and a well-trimmed beard stands on a double-lotus pedestal mounted on a square block with a flat base. Both hands are joined against the breast in anjali-mudra. A dagger is tucked to the girdle on the right.
